MINERALIEN-Welt/Bode-Verlag not present with a booth at Munich Show 2013

24.10.2013. Erstmals seit 31 Jahren wird der Bode-Verlag in diesem Jahr nicht mehr als Aussteller auf den „Mineralientagen München“ vertreten sein. Die neuen Vertriebswege über das Internet, ein geändertes Käuferverhalten und vor allem betriebswirtschaftliche Aspekte haben die Unternehmensleitung der Bode Verlag GmbH dazu veranlasst, auf eine Messeteilnahme in München in diesem Jahr zu verzichten.

Unsere Kunden, Freunde, Autoren und Geschäftspartner werden diesen Schritt sicher bedauern, war doch der MINERALIEN-Welt-Stand immer ein attraktiver „Meeting-Point“, aber wir haben unsere strategische Ausrichtung an die neuen Marktverhältnisse anzupassen und sie weiter in andere Richtungen auszubauen.

Selbstverständlich werden unsere Leser in der MINERALIEN-Welt in gewohnter Weise über die Aktivitäten und mineralogischen Neuigkeiten von einer der wichtigsten Messe-Veranstaltungen Europas informiert - und selbstverständlich werden wir auch noch in diesem Jahr auf anderen Mineralien-Messen/-Börsen wie z.B. in Berlin und Hamburg sowie 2014 in Tucson/Arizona, Lörrach, Bad Ems, Freiberg/Sachsen, Ste.-Marie-aux-Mines und Denver/Colorado mit unserem Bücher-/Zeitschriftenprogramm für unsere Kunden präsent sein.

Wir danken dem Münchner Veranstalter-Ehepaar Hermi und Hannes Keilmann ganz herzlich für die äusserst erfolgreiche Zusammenarbeit und das über viele Jahrzehnte entgegengebrachte Vertrauen und wünschen dem neuen Team rund um CEO Christoph Keilmann viel Erfolg bei der Fortführung der „Mineralientage München“.

Das Verlagsprogramm der Bode Verlag GmbH wird auch weiterhin besonders hochwertig ausgestattete und nachhaltig wertvolle Novitäten für die Mineralien-Fachwelt umfassen, wie es der Anfang 2013 erschienene 800seitige Band SIEGERLAND aus der „Edition Krüger-Stiftung“ und der im August publizierte großformatige, deutsch/englische Bildband mit 424 Seiten Umfang über die Achate der Sammlung Dietrich Mayer dokumentieren. Noch in diesem Jahr folgen in der „Edition Krüger-Stiftung“ ein opulentes Werk über Namibia sowie mit KÄRNTEN und STEIERMARK zwei Fortsetzungsbände in der Reihe „Mineralreiches Österreich/Edition MINERALIEN-Welt“. 2014 erscheinen mit HARZ und MAROKKO zwei weitere und lang erwartete Bildbände; ausserdem wird derzeit die Neuauflage von Peter Bancrofts legendärem Buch „Gems & Crystal Treasures“ vorbereitet.

For the first time after 31 years Bode-Verlag publishing company will not be attending the „Munich Show - Mineralientage München“ with a booth anymore. The new distribution channels via the Internet, the changing consumers’ behaviour and above all business management reasons have led the executive board of Bode Verlag GmbH to resign from the participation of the Munich Show this year.

Our customers, friends, authors and business partners will surely regret our decision, as the MINERALIEN-Welt booth has always served as an attractive meeting-point, but we had to adapt our strategic alignment to the current market situation and will expand more in other directions.

Of course our readers will be equally well informed through MINERALIEN-Welt about the activities and mineralogical novelties of one of the most important mineral shows in Europe - and naturally we are going to participate in other mineral-shows this year, such as Berlin and Hamburg, as far as Tuscon/Arizona, Lörrach, Bad Ems, Freiberg/Saxony, Ste.-Marie-aux-Mines and of course Denver/Colorado in 2014, where we will be present for our customers with our selection of magazines and fine books.

We express our gratitude to the long-time organizers Hermi and Jo Keilmann and thank them for the successful cooperation and trust over many decades and wish the new team around CEO Christoph Keilmann much success with the continuation of the “Munich Show”.

The range of titles of the Bode-Verlag publishing company will continue with premium quality print products of enduring importance about the novelties around the world of minerals. In early 2013 we came out with the 800-page strong book on the SIEGERLAND, published within the “Edition Krüger-Stiftung” and in the beginning of August the newly released bi-lingual German/English large-format book “Exquisite Agates”, which documents the famous agate collection of Dietrich Mayer on 424 pages. And still in this year there is to follow a new abundant volume of the “Edition Krüger-Stiftung” about the minerals of the NAMIBIA, as far as two new volumes of the serial „Mineralreiches Österreich/Edition MINERALIEN-Welt“ on KÄRNTEN and the STEIERMARK, concentrating on Austrian mineralogical districts. In 2014 two eagerly awaited illustrated books, HARZ mountains and MOROCCO will be published and meanwhile we are preparing the new edition of Peter Bancrofts legendary book „Gems & Crystal Treasures“.
